I don’t sit until you do; that way I can choose the seat farthest away from you.
“How’ve you been?”
I scoff. “How can you act so casual?” I cross my legs and fold my arms over my chest. Anything to keep me together.
Surprise takes over your face. “It’s called being civil.”
Silence takes over. And somehow I manage to pop my shoulder with my fidgeting.
“If you’re not going to explain anything, I’m going.” You quickly grab my wrist as I rise.
“I’m sorry! The only reason I told them was so you would speak to me...”
