a conversation with my boss...
so my boss emails me and asks if I can work a certain day at Schwab. I was like "sure why not" So he emails me back and thanks me... and tells me what it is that I'll be working... the following humorous email exchange followed...
Boss- BTW, it's a lecture/presentation by Salman Rushdie, he of "The Satanic Verses" fame. It should be interesting...the Muslim Student Association is supposed to picket and everything. Rushdie still has a fatwa on his head, so he'll be under police guard. Sure won't be dull!
Me- whoa... should I bring a body guard? lol. see ya then
Boss- Nah. I think as long as you're wearing body armor and are packing heat, you'll be fine. Personally, I'm going to rely on my Jedi light sabre.
Me- OHH! I have one of those. But I left at at home. Crap. I'll have to go buy some armor.
Boss- I've heard that if you spray yourself with Armor-All that you're pretty safe for all but point-blank gunshots...just don't get it in your eyes.
