So yay I'm in FL. It's awesome...although it was pretty overcast today. BLAH
anyway...my mom and I had some interesting moments on the trip...makes me wish I had a camera. Here are a few amusing anecdotes...
(a tracker trailer has been riding my ass)
I'm going to pull a Thelma and Louise on him!
mom-o there was a cop. how fast are you going?
me-71
mom-the speed limit is 70
me-if he pulls me over for going 71 i'm going to punch him in the face...no wait...I'll lock him in his trunk!
mom-make sure you make air holes
(what can I say ...it all comes back to the movies)
(listening to the radio...Michael Buble's Let It Snow is playing)
me-i think this is the second time i've heard this song today...which is sad since i've been sleeping most of the time
mom-isn't this that Boob-lay guy?
me-(LAUGHS) i don't think it's "boob"
(although...now i believe that is how you pronouce it)
and now...a story...
so my mom and I go into Shoney's...a restaurant... and we get food. So we're ready to pay and this woman is at the counter with three kids and a woman who looks like her mother...the younger woman pays for her and the little girl..i'm not really sure how the rest of the transaction worked...but they were walking away and the hostess/cashier says "you still need to pay for a child buffet"(in a southern accent...you gotta picture it...) so one of the little boys walks back up and has to dig through his little wallet to pay. The cashier says to him "life's hard" My mom and I almost lost it...but we managed to keep our composure. This little kid was like 7 and he had to pay for his own meal!!! So the rest of the trip my mom and I keep sayin "Life's hard" in our mocking southern accents. haha.
yay road trips!
now i'm ready for some sun and some presents! haha
