Movie Madness (very very long)
Ok...this is where I prove just how much of a movie freak i am...and how bored i am. I saw about 20 or so movies this summer...so i did a little review type thing. i know i know...you can laugh.
BEST ACTOR
Even though I find Tom Cruise to be overwhelmingly annoying, he was pretty damn good in War of the World. Val was of course great as the possibly insane FBI boss in Mindhunters. Hayden at last proved that he wasn't a pansy in Episode III. And Brad was devilishly charming as Mr. Smith... I gotta go with Cillian Murphy. I've only ever seen him in two movies, both came out this summer. But he stuck with me...he's wonderful at being "good-looking and charming" one minute...and a scary mother fucker the next.
BEST ACTRESS
The girls in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants were all fun to watch. Natalie Portman is one of my all time favorites and was truly beautiful in Episode III. Dakota Fanning continues to amaze in War of the Worlds. And Angelina of course kicked major ass (and was uber sexy while doing it) as Mrs. Smith...But my favorite actress of the summer is Rachel McAdams. She was adorable in Wedding Crashers and didn't take any shit in Red Eye. *HEART*
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR
Vince Vaughn had me laughing every time he was on screen in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Kudos.
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS
The little girl that followed Amber Tamblyn around in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was great. She was loveably sarcastic. Way to start young.
BEST DUO
Although Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn were hilarious in Wedding Crashers...I gotta go with Angelina and Brad...they were hot!
BEST VILLIAN
Although Jane Fonda (Monster-in-law), The Scarerow (i think that's what he's called...Batman Begins), and Darth Vader were scary...There's something about being sucked dry and having my blood used to fertilize the Earth that chills me to the bone. (War of the Worlds)
WORST ACTOR
Surprisingly, Orlando Bloom was craptastic in Kingdom of Heaven...or maybe it was just the movie.
WORST ACTRESS
Hiliary Duff...nothing more needs to be said.
BEST SIDE KICK
I was going to say something funny like "Angelina's boobs" ...but I'll just go with the 3 non-virgins in 40 Year Old Virgin. They were all hilarious as they tried to get Steve Carell laid.
...and now onto the actual movies...
