[Summary] Can! Jani Episode 5 - Investigating Tokyo's Water Wells/Fountains
sdlhasldjkghsdxg HI. Sorry it took me forever to do this. Motivation is something I lack at times.
ANYWAY I've been getting requests to use these " translations " to sub this show. They're not really translations because I did not translate the entire show. I mean if you want to you can, with credit, but I blow past like 3 - 10 minutes at times cause I don't feel like translating everything cause this show is self explanitory at times. So I mean... you'll have a half assed sub if you did use them -- and that I do not guarentee acuracy.

Anyway, we get a history info lesson on water springs and wells and stuff.

So they explain about the 54 designated natural water spring well thingies and that Yoko and Ryo have to investigate all 54 of them.
They see an old man.
Yoko: So do you always come here to get water?
Old man: I've always.
Yoko: How old are you?
Old man: 79
Yoko: 79?!
Ryo: REALLY?!
Yoko: Amazing~
Ryo: Wow, 79!
So then Yoko tries the first spring, #52.
Yoko: I'm going to drink it now. Wow, its really cold!
Ryo: Yeah, its cold!
Yoko: It's good. How would I say it... it's cold!
So then they bust out the map.
Yoko: This is a map. Just so you guys can know, we're starting at #52 in Okutama.
Ryo: EH?! There's so many!! How are we going to do this?!
Yoko: Yes.
Ryo: On top of that, they're so far apart! What are we going to do for this?
It's two islands. lmao
Yoko: Um... I'll say we'll get there when we'll get there.
So then they are going to find #54 and are given to bikes, which Ryo promptly says are very plane. These two bikes run on 1 liter of gas and between where they are and their end point is 78km.
Yoko: So anyway, when we go there's going to be a lot of pedstrians. So watch out for them!
Ryo: Yes. That's right.
Yoko: So, let's go find Spring #54
Ryo: Yokoyama-kun, well, aren't you fine at being bad roads? <-- Ryo actually says " Yokoyama-kun datte michi kekkou hetakuso yaro " which Yoko mocks...
Yoko: What? Bad roads? You're Japanese is weird.
Ryo: I'm sorry, sorry
Yoko: Alright, so let's go.
SO THEY START AND WELLLLLL....
Ryo: Uwah! It's a slope!
Yoko: What is this! It's not going up! ITS NOT GOING UP THE SLOPE!! The Engine's stop!! The engine's giving up!

Yoko: Why do we gotta worry about this?! What type of location is this! What is up with this location?!
So now their adventure begins with fixed cars!!!

So its already been 15 minutes and they just drove 3km, which I think is like... 1km is like 3 miles so... 9 miles. I think.
Ryo: Awesome.. eyes <-- lol wut?
Yoko: Uwah, my eyes hurt. XD
So then they stop and ask for some information on how to find this spring.
Yoko: Excuse me, would you be kind to talk to us? <-- Yoko's formal Japanese is so... I always giggle XD
So the shop owner comes out.
Yoko: We're trying to find Kama Spring.
Man: Kama Spring?
Yoko: Have you ever heard of it?
Man: I really don't know.
Yoko: Old man, you have some nice eyebrows.
Man: Well wel... that really has nothing to do with this. Nothing at all XD
Yoko: He's like, it has nothing to do with this, nothing at all XD
So they ask another person but they don't know either. So they keep on driving and they've traveled 13km already.
Then...
Yoko: Ah, who's that person?
They stop.
Yoko: Excuse me, but could you talk with us for a moment? This is #54, we're trying to find Kama Spring right now.
Man: Ah, #54?
Yoko: Can we drink from there, old man?
Man: Ah! I know. It's actually inside of it.
So now they have to back track because they missed it XD They have to find Kori station and they find it so they ask more locals where its out.
Yoko: Excuse me, but could you talk with us for a moment? Do you know where Kawa Spring is at?
Man: If you go close over there, make a left turn, near the church. From the church, go about 30m and then make another left turn and keep going on that road. Then if you keep going, on your left hand is a cellar. It's within that.
So then Yoko and Ryo try to go over the directions. XD
Ryo: We gotta go for 30m and the church is on our left hand side.
Yoko: The cellar.
Ryo: And then the cellar... it'll be inside of that.
Yoko: OHKURA!!!!
Ohkura: Eh?
Ryo: That scared me.
Screen: Who's that person?
Ohkura: That scared me.
Subaru: I guess if you say someone's name on TV it'll get their attention XD
So they resume their journey and they find the shrine/church/whatever. Then they find their first left hand turn... and go down the road.
Ryo: So aren't we supposed to make another left? Left? Right??
Yoko: Just pick one or the other. Would we have to go up?
Ryo: Well, wouldn't there be something noticible here? ITS OVER HERE! RIGHT HERE!
Yoko: Unbelievable!
Ryo: ITS RIGHT OVER HERE!!!
Yoko: You're lying! What is up with suddenity! IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S HERE'S!!!!
So they celebrateeeeeeee and find it. And drink it and Yoko thinks its great. then...
Ryo: So how long did it take for us to find this one well?
Yoko: It took us one hour and fourty five minutes.
Ryo: Are you serious?
Yoko: We're going at a 80 hour pace.
So they get their sample.
Yoko: So how are we going to get from 53 to 24.
Ryo: Well, it took us an hour and forty five minutes for this one, right? So why not go for the one in the city?
Yoko: #24?
Ryo: Yeah :D
Yoko: Well, with that loud voice I have no choice but to go with it.
Ryo: That's exactly right XD
They run into their hiker again!!!!!!!! And ask him where their next spring is at! So they leave Okutama and enter Oumeshi. They keep driving and find the station the old man was talking about and then decide to ask the locals where the spring is at.
Yoko: Ma'am, is it okay for us to ask you a question? Are you familuar with Iwashi Spring?
Woman: Well... I wouldn't know.
But she gives them clues to where she think it would be at and they find it~! Yaaaaaaaaaay.
Yoko: Excuse me, but may we ask you a question? Is that okay?
So the man comes out~
Yoko: Ah, hello, we're Kanjani8. We were wondering if it is okay to ask you about Iwashi Spring?
Ryo: Is it here?
Man: It is.
Yoko: It's here?!
Man: It's here.
So it is here! And they find it! AND THEY DRINK IT. I feel like im watching that Stargazer's show on PBS with this music.
Ryo has manners so he drinks out of a cup.
Ryo: ... It's water.
Yoko: This is delicious! As expected, this is good!

So they got three... !! 51 more to go! They do a gasoline check and damn they're on empty! So they only get 25km to the liter. So its being continued to the next episode~ So we're back in the studio and can takes his fun at Ryo this time:
Can: Concerning Nishikido... You really can't speak, can you?
Ryo: I can't speak?
Can: Such as " Bad road! " and when you were in the tunnel " Amazing eye! " ... What was up with your eye?
Ryo: I meant to say that they hurt...
Can: Is that so! One word isn't enough, Nishikido! You need to go back and study your Japanese!!
Hina: Is that all you're thinking?
Can: All I'm thinking? I'm being really nice!
Yoko: If Nishikido was to get angry on this show, that'd be it for it.

Yoko: Well, about that one above. We really wanted to get to three, but we realized it'd been impossible to get to that one.

Hina: So that's wrong How about showing us a way to get to it then.
Can: You know, that Yamaoka spring is wating for you.
Subaru: Hun The spring??
Can: It's waiting for you. What are you going to do?
Yasu: The spring has feelings?
Can: Of course! You did not take it into consideration! What do you have to say about that spring's feeligs? Huuuuuuuuun, what is it?!

Edit : thanks to those who told me what a km is . Im a stupid American so that was bound to happen. I get all those things confused, meters, kilometeres, ... decimeters... all that metric stuff :P A meter is 3ft, yes, a kil is less than a mile. Okay. XD
