My son has now his holidays, he is pretending to sit all days at home beside a computer while I am trying to be a "good" father and kick him now and then to do something useful.

Yesterday he asked me to download some movies, I'd shown him many best of best movies defore, so I told him that I have no idea now if there is some interesting to watch. Anyway I'd tried to find something and downloaded the old movie "Bicentennial Man" 1999. I've remembered that a year ago I'd read a book the movie was based on while I was working on pharmaceutical factory and studied English. I'd liked the novel very much cause it was written very interesting as I felt and with the simple language. It was like that I was reading the old Russian Soviet science fictions again. The author is Isaac Asimov, he immigrated with his parents to USA from USSR which partly answered my mutual question. The total number of his books is over 500. Asimov died in 1992 at the age of 72 years. I was surprised to read in his biography that he even managed to get sick with AIDS when he had an operation on heart...
So, when we started to see the movie my son didn't get involved much when my wife was very pleased to see it and asked me to watch it together later again cause she had some work to do.
I can say that the ideas of Isaac were very outstripping his time but now they are not looking so progressive. The main question the writer had avoided to enlighten is why people were not using the technology the robots were using, moreover when one robot had earned money and skills to develop himself to some kind of a human being...

But anyway this old movie is very kind, intelligent, romantic. It is very comfortable to watch with whole family together... and Robin Williams is the best as always...
