Great pictures. I love Dostoevsky. I think it would be cool to see a painting of him in person.

I hope you don't mind me lurking in your old posts. I like to lurk around on new people on my list and check out their posts. Especially picture posts.

Photography is so much fun. I just started about two years ago. I had an automatic Lumix camera, but then I saved up to get a Nikon DSLR. It's a whole different world figuring out the ISO, white balance, shutter speed, and aperture.

I have the same model. They have many newer versions, but they all seemed out of my price range, and when I researched pictures people did with the different models of cameras, it seemed like the D3100 could take just as good pictures as the D7000. Seemed crazy to spend over $1,000 when the D3100 could be bought for $400. Even that was a bit expensive for me.

As I was told, it is good to buy some good lens too. The price is around 400 $ too.

And yes, it is expensive for me too but the memories are priceless, so I decided to buy a new camera instead of buying a computer or bicycle...

What was even more interesting for me when I've watched this painting is the idea that the artist who did it, was watching him and saw his great ideas on his face.
Mostly all the paintings were made during the time which they are describing, not a replica. One icon was from the Byzantium...
