The dragonfly...

I had drove to our nearest pond a month ago to get some water plant cause mine were all eating out by the growing up snails which had been born in numbers. So when I got a little of water weeds I got altogether numbers of different beings with them. Many strange worms, dragonfly larvas, bunch of new snails and even one fish which is alive now. I had brought all this weeds to a 50 liters bucket, putted it on the window for a light and that was it. After two weeks or something I saw a big dragonfly larvae roaming around weeds, it was eight centimeters long and mean as hell. It had ate almost all the worms and were hunting all alive things around at moment. I had brought it to the main aquarium where it was more easy to look at this thing. The animal was really interesting to look at. Big eyes on the very mobile head, many legs. It was swimming and crawling up and down the aqua. The larva was not interesting as it seemed in the fish's food and I thought it will die soon. And it was not a surprise when I saw her dead body. It was a little sorrow for me cause this creature did so long travel from the pond and I anticipated that her trip will ends somehow more safely and happily, but alas her dead body was swimming on the surface of water now.
Only after one day I saw the flying creature on my window! It survived! It was looking at me with smaller eyes now but with not much interest. So I took her from my netting window to the balcony and after a few words of farewell it flew away.
And I thinking to myself what the nature a wonderful thing to give birth to such creatures - they live in the water and after flying in the air as if they are the experience pilots, while a man - the crown of creation did it first not so long ago and do it now with so many problems. And all this information about the swimming and flying is in the genome of insects, they don't study or something like we do a half of life - it is very interesting in my point of view...

Some worm from pond.

The dragonfly telling me farewell.

This bunch of grapes is the main hero of the event, it is the new pending snail caviar from which I had went for collecting the water's weeds a month ago.
