So, one of my Hawaii 5-0 comms pointed me to this bit of AWESOME!
The Navy is going to allow same-sex marriages on BASE
now, my g'father was Navy, my bro was a Marine, so I was always rooting for the Navy ANYWAY, but now i might just fangirl them!!
also: have we started the countdown to John McCain's head exploding?
and yes, yes it is time for the seamen jokes... but when isn't it, really?

so... that didn't take long apparently the order is "suspended" because it's in violation of DOMA.
ok... guys... here's the thing... i don't think our law-makers have READ the Bill of Rights. DOMA is NOT constitutional. this order was upholding the 14th Amendment, which as far as i can tell, trumps the hell out of DOMA.
