YP Hong Kong Concert Recap! (30/01/2011)
one word: indescribable!
THE DAY BEFORE :
- Got the concert ticket for the 3 pm show on Sunday 30th Jan. But I decided to go to the KITEC Star Hall a day earlier on Saturday to check out the scene and the concert goodies 2 hours before the 2nd show (8 pm).Holy cow !! The place was already so packed with fans and concert-goers.
THE CONCERT GOODS :
- Golly, the poster was already sold out so I quickly bought the uchiwa, penlight and booklet/pamphlet. :DDD.
- No T-shirt for sale. :(
- The uchiwa and booklet are really really nice...esp the booklet....much much nicer than what were scanned and posted.
- I really love the booklet...the cover design, content layout, colours, paper texture and HIS PHOTOS. Just perfect. Despite my preference for him to have shorter hair, I feel he looked exceptionally good and sizzling hot with his long hair in most of the photos there.
THE CONCERT :
- Fangirls were overtly excited. Lots of screaming of "YAMAPIIII"
- Like all JE concerts, the lightings and special effects were spectacular.
- The security guards were bothersome and hateful. One of them caught me taking photo and told me to delete there and then or else my blackberry would be confiscated.
- We got to stand up the whole time during the singing and sat down only during the MC section.
- Concert lasted about 2 hours with some 8 changes of costumes.
THE COSTUME
To my biased eyes, the gaudy costumes were perfect and not gaudy at all when worn by him (do i make sense??). He looked soooo gooood in them :-
1) pink sequined suit (died round no. 1 because he was GORRRRGEOUS !!!)
2) greyish green jacket, black tank-top and black pants (with gold sequins). *love this costume*
3) took off the green jacket on stage and put on a white one
-- MC SECTION --
4) white and gold robe (one side sleeveless, the other full sleeved and neckline opened down to his waistband exposing his bare chest ;DDD ) with painted-mask and sword.
5) blue and pink suit, black inner shirt with coat-tails (he sang Hadakanbou in this costume)
6) black suit with white studded belt
7) black hoodie with black ninja-mask
8) ENCORE - white sequined suit
THE SONGS :
To my biased ears - he sang perfectly.
THE DANCING :
To my biased eyes - he danced perfectly.
* I didn't see any one else except my BB*
THE MC SECTION :
To the biased me - he was and is the perfect idol.
Highlights :
- He and the 5 juniors were trying to speak Cantonese (very awful accent but cuuute).
- Mid-way he forgot how to say his name in Cantonese. He remembered Yamashita, and the audience completed the rest xD
- He looked good even when he was drinking from a bottle and wiping his sweat (I like the red towel with dragon motif)
- He did a brief impersonation of Michael Jackson - hip-thrusts and crotch-holding included ( I died round no. 2)
- He looked surprised but delighted when the audience unexpectedly replied "Yamapi!!!" when he asked what the latest popular trend in HK was. He then spoke about the popularity of communication via computer, etc, etc and that he's learning English to communicate better.
- He addressed 6 requests from the audience
1) to demonstrate "Halelujah Chance"
2) to shake hand with the fan (and she refused to let go of his hand)
3) to autograph a sketch of him
4) *can't remember*
5) to have concerts in China and he said in cute english that if he was "called", he would "come"
6) to be informed by the fan that she has loved him for 6 years
THE NUIDE :
NONE !!!!! No nekkid Tomo... (died round no. 3 because I was so heartbroken)
Audience didn't shout NUIDE, NUIDE, NUIDE. My feeble chant was drowned by all the 1st-classed screaming around me.
Only the 5 juniors were topless during their sword performance.
THE ENCORE :
2 songs :
1) Loveless - The audience was singing most parts of the song and he very adorably let us. He sang about 1/3 of the song with us. ( I didn't sing because I almost died round no. 4 because.he looked so GORRRRGEOUS in sparkling white)
2) Ao ( I can't remember much because by then I was dumb-struck)
HIS ENGRISH
To my biased ears - his Engrish accent was so perfectly adorable.
He really tried to speak in English where possible. He even mentioned that in the concert.
HIS COMPLEXION
To die for...too perfectly good.
HIS HAIR
Love love love his hair.... brown and centre-parting
HIS ACCESSORIES
Love love love his studded belt.
Love love love his sparkling earring (saw the sparkle through my binoculars).
Short gold-coloured necklace (???)
Different fingerless sequined gloves with different costumes (I was that observant)..
HIS AURA
Awesome
THE FANS
All crazy about him and over him (me included).
The screaming and shouting were 1st-classed.
The screaming were particularly loud at one point when snippets of his dramas were screened.
The girls besides and around me were sobbing (me not included)
THE IDOL HIMSELF
He clearly loves his fans.
He said "I love you" and "Ngo Oi Nei" (cantonese) many times.
He said a few times in English that he will and must come back to HK again.
He went down the stage to shake hands a couple of times.
He really sounded so cuuuute the way he said "Bye Bye".
He blew us kisses at the end.
