"Lookin' cookin'" happens when I don't know what I want to make, but I look at an ingredient or two and ask it/them what it/they want as partnering.
Today at the store I saw boneless chicken breasts (Plainville Respectful brand) and some precooked chicken sausage with Italian herbs.
When I got home I sliced them up, thew them in a bowl -- and looked at them. They wanted a bed of Vidalia onion slices, half a container of snipped basil leaves on top of that, and some cooked-and-snipped bacon to cuddle up to.
They are thinking about themselves at 350 degrees for a while. Then I think they want to go swimming in Sicilian gravy (tomato sauce with onion and garlic) and don a shawl of grated cheese-and-onion bits.
We are still in the thinking stage. Anyone want to stick an oar in?
