I spent 2 1/2 days in Venice, Italy and I absolutely fell in love with the city. I would happily live there

You are too kind! *beams* I took so MANY photos, some of them were bound to turn out, right? lol I sometimes wish I would take the time to learn more about photography, but I'm notoriously HORRIBLE about doing anything with my photos once I've taken them. This needs to change however, because I want to print and frame some of my vacation pics!

I am quite certain you would love Venice. I think I would have enjoyed just sitting at an outdoor cafe and people watching, but Devon just keeps moving! lol The kids are used to traveling around Europe so weren't that much trouble and they weren't my immediate responsibility anyway. We didn't experience any night life since the kids go to bed so early but after hours and hours of walking each day I was pretty tired, lol

There are things I still wanted to do--ride on a gondola, sample more of the food & wine, but I figure that leaves me something to look forward to if I ever get back. :)

As far as the travel Visa goes--I wouldn't have thought of it either, but my parents suggested it. I was glad though, because at least I had a backup bank card! My advice, make sure your bank machine has an English option! *laughs*
