Good Job, finally!
It's been barely one week at my new job doing telephone surveys. And I got an award at work tonight!
It was my first night on a new-to-me survey, and I tied for second place with two others, but I had the highest production of calling of the three of us. So the first place person won a balloon crown, and I won a balloon banjo! How cool is that?!!! (the bookstore across the street downtown was having an event with one of those balloon artists that make animals and stuff for kids, so that's where the crown and banjo came from.)
I think they do some sort of bonus for such achievements, for real like on a paycheck, but I'm not sure how all that works yet. All I know is that I'm really finally enjoying a new job!
I like all the other people working there too.
And I liked most of the people who I talked to on the phone, except for the old lady who screamed at me "go to hell you son of a bitch!" before I even had the first sentence out of my mouth! wtf! I had to laugh she was so outrageous! Then there was the 75 yr old lady who made me laugh and I made her laugh and we had a good time... at the end she said this was the most enjoyable telephone survey she'd ever done! That sure beats a balloon banjo any day!
