Death Magnetic
So, I've been listening to this for about 2 weeks now, longer if you count the release of "The Day That Never Comes" and "My Apolocypse" courtesy of Metallica.com.
Metallica are fucking back....except perhaps lyrically. I mean "what don't kill ya make ya more strong"? C'mon James, you can do better than that!
However, I must admit that while I'm a fan of the music, the products values of the album are pretty terrible. Not quite so bad as St Anger, but bad enough that I can't play it loud from my stereo without crazy distortion happening becuase they've compressed the whole lot to sound louder and introduced a shitload of clipping. It sounds even worse when I stream is through the PS3 to my TV, god knows how it's going to sound in the car.
Oh, and doggypanter , you really should submit some music reviews to newspapers etc. The review(if you can call it that) of Death Magnetic on the AdelaideNow website is pretty useless.
