The Snarry Games is ending. (See post

My heart just broke off a piece. Despite being mostly a lurker and occasionally a commentor, I LOVE that fandom. And 95% of my love for Harry Potter series and Harry and Snape had all been based in fandom. If not for Fandom, I won't be eyeing to buy the Canon.
There are just so many wonderfully talented authors writing more beautiful/fascinating/engaging fics than published books out there, exploring the same characters from so many angles and nooks and turns, and I spent endless hours happily reading until ungodly hours with a big, BIG silly grin on my face (whether from the crack or the romance or the plot or the utter genius or the p0rn, I'll leave it up for you to decide *wink*) (There's also the angst and the sob, but I'd be hugging pillows instead for those.)
Feeling very sad and sentimental, thinking of the First Snarry Games back in 2006. (In the words of FF7, it's like seeing Zack in Cloud's flashback and knowing he was already gone gone gone!)
But I'm also very happy that I was at the right place, right time, to hop on the Snarry craze, to see the lively debates on the fandom to fanfic writing/reccing/compared to mainstream literature. And thankful that the lovely fandom had made me laugh, made me cry, and carried me through difficult times. Now that the Canon has ended, JKR gave my favorite two their respective canon endings, some people (read: some of my fav authors/artist) have decided to leave, the party is ending even if I don't want it to.
