Spent a good part of the day up in Vallejo on Saturday, Angel and I went up to visit home and to go to the Northern California Pirate Festival. We went there first, staying for a while, then headed to my house, doing laundry and hanging out with Benny a little before he had to head out. We left shortly after 7pm. On the way home (to San Jose), the street was blocked off at an intersection 2 blocks away from home (in Vallejo) by lots of police and the fire department, so I had to navigate us around it. There was an ambulance on the way, as well.
I checked the online version of the local newspaper after midnight that night, and again just now, it is going into today's (Monday) paper. I hope the girls will be ok.

Two Vallejo teenagers were injured in an accident while riding a bike Saturday night, police said.
A 15-year-old girl was riding a bike with no brakes at about 7 p.m. on Jack London and Mini drives, with a 12-year-old girl sitting on the handlebar, police said.
A car stopped at the intersection, but hit the bike as the girls ran the stop sign, police said.
The girls sustained moderate, but non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital by ambulance, police said.
No alcohol was reportedly involved.
Vallejo Police Department also asked for assistance in crowd control from California Highway Patrol and American Canyon Police Department as a large number of people, including family members, came to the scene.
