Warning! Long explanation.

His psychosis is a result of his upbringing and, yes, chemical imbalance. He hasn't been diagnosed though, so he has never taken any sort of medication for his mental illness.

Oh, and as a further note on his mental condition, I intended Marjan to suffer from solipsism syndrome. It's the reason why he views everyone as inferior to himself, and why he feels as though he can get anything he wants.

Some info on causes for solipsism syndrome:
"Some environments are conducive to producing solipsism syndrome. This state of mind can be easily produced in an environment where everything is artificial, where everything is like a theater stage, where every wish can be fulfilled by a push-button, and where there is nothing beyond the theater stage and beyond an individual's control."

Marjan has been spoiled his entire life and sheltered from the outside world for so long, that he believes that ANYTHING he wants can be attained. He cannot conceive that he is wrong or flawed, so when he lost to Tamaki he wrongfully attributes his loss to his Pokemon in order to save his self-esteem.

Also, his thoughts are very inconsistent. If he were a true solipsist he would find no point in social networking, BUT seeing as he's a bit unstable I find his inconsistency very reasonable. Another factor to his change in thinking is the fact that he's finally gone out in the real world as a Pokemon trainer. Some of his experiences (such as his gym challenge loss) are conflicting with his beliefs, so he's starting to think a bit differently. I'm not sure of the extent to which he'll change, but it's happening.

TLDR; Marjan's psychosis is due to his spoiled upbringing and chemical imbalanced. Undiagnosed, but suffers from solipsism syndrome.
