I sat down with Kilron today and got stats about exactly what it was that the Kashyyyk's Luck had, as far as modifications and pre-existing equipment as well as available mod slots. Here is the Skinny ( Read more... )

Well my primary concern was that we were without shields. But with that taken out of the way I feel much more safer. The combat thrusters also make us not automatically space dust if we run into a capital ship ( ... )

I must note, one thing you and Alan are doing but john is not. Don't assume that because it's listed in the book one way that is the way I will use it. This goes for ship pricing, item availability and Dc's for skill checks. Please remember I am the DM!! Please keep in mind all the changes I have made, and think about the changes I might make as I am fairly certain I am the most opinionated person you know. Also you guys would need a bigger ship for a gravity well projector. You ship doesn't really have that much space and the Kashyyyk's Luck certainly doesn't have a power generator big enough to accommodate the power drain.

other upgrades to consider
backup battery, auxiliary generators, escape pod, sensor baffling, atmospheric thruster, Aquatic thrusters*, Hyperdrive upgrade, navicomputer, sublight drive upgrade,

Ummm... lets say NO to a few... m_t_quill September 28 2009, 18:15:31 UTC
Generally speaking, I consider my self an HONEST freighter captain. The hidden compartments were NOT my doing and the content will be returned to the rightful owners as soon as I am able. I have spent some thirty years of my life as a slave, and have little interest in actions that will lead me to ending up behind bars... captivity sucks. So, armaments for security of shipments yes... Ion Cannon and such, Gravity Well Projectors no thanks. We, and I speak unanimously in this, are NOT the empire. Hard points, maybe if going on a dangerous mission, and ONLY for the mission duration. I am not a gunship captain... this is not a Weapon, it is my HOME. Thank you.

I well aware that the prices can and will change based on GM's who has to take into account the various economic variables. I just use the base price as a ballpark estimation because that's all I have to go on as I cant pick your brain all the time.Plus I'm unsure how you would react to me calling you at random times during the day to ask game oriented questions. I as a player will always bend to the GM's will for the most part. The only point of I will argue usually is to clarify combat mechanics. Since were on the subject of how things my be priced how much would a used TIE Defender go for? That is my characters sole credit oriented goal. Well that and after I obtain it pimping it out. Also I noticed the * near aquatic thrusters... Yeah didnt think about that we have hull seals so we wont be killed by the pressure or water seeping in but can WE MOVE the ship underwater? Probally want to look into that...

aquatic movement m_t_quill September 29 2009, 00:01:37 UTC
with the seals we can move but we are not swift. its like one tenth of our normal speed. if we had hydrothrusters we are an underwater FIGHTER. A speedy shark instead of a slow whale.

Ass....umptions.. dubwas September 30 2009, 05:25:59 UTC
Also any assumption I do make is based on what is written in the various books for the game. Please inform me if any assumption I make is incorrect but I feel I may as well use what the books say as a starting point so at least I have SOMETHING to work with. Now any assumption I make about the game world is simply based on the movies and the limited amount of Star Wars books I've read. Again its your galaxy I'm just playing in it. Oh lately Ive been on a star wars trip and Ive download a few comics. Fun reads. Some of the plots are convoluted and silly but eh its comics when has that not been the case?

your assumptions may work provided you clear it with me before you get anything and/or before you use it. Used TIE fighter is the price listed in the book but it's weapons don't work and its at half its movement speed.

The * means aquatic thrusters are not an official upgrade but one I have created at your disposal.

MON, WED and FRI, I have class from 9am-4pm. Any other time I am available for game talk.
