The Beautiful Washington County Fair

I clearly have the most fun jacked up on caffeine.

Thursday I went to the fair. Before going I had several cups of coffee and whilst there I downed a rather large sized Pepsi (although I would've perferred Coke (yes I am a Coke person) the fair has a contract with the evil Pepsi Cola Company) I was clearly buzzed. I've come to believe that caffeine is the ultimate pain killer. It practically works miracles. But, I wasn't intending to chatter about the power of my favorite drug.

The fair.

Yes, I went.

I won a Goldfish. Clark also won me a Goldfish. It made me very happy. Practically ecstatic, you see, I have never won anything before. And I've never had a boy win me anything either. I was happy. Currently Shock and Paul (as we named them) are happily swimming in a blue rimmed pitcher, muching on fish flakes and basking in the sunshine.

I also saw many animals. I poked a cow and looked at some rather funky chickens. But my favorite part of the fair is the food. Pizza, Fried dough, Cheesy Fries, Cotton Candy, Lollipops...........the wonders to tantalize your taste buds (and thicken your thighs) are endless.

Then there's the rides. I had a major accomplishment in that field too. I went  on the zipper, yes, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls......I did. Now I would like to skip telling you about the embarrassing start to the event--the first few moments where I was, as I would later find, inappropriately freaking out. I panicked in a big way. Something about being locked into a tiny metal box and hurled through the air seemed very unnatural to me. But, it was fun. Way fun. Not to mention my boy kissed me at the top. It was pretty fantastic.

I love the fair.

I spend a lot of the year looking forward to it.
