So last semester I had a bassoon student and this semester I have a different one (though the old one might contact me for lessons eventually and there's another girl trying to get in touch with me).

Basically, when I teach I turn into a bumbling idiot. There's no structure to what I'm saying. I just talk for an hour about the way I perceive myself to play the bassoon and offer it as guidance to my students. It's feels like a crock of shit every time, but its fun and I feel like, every once in a while, I actually say something that makes sense.

overall, a good thing. i imagine I'll get better with practice (as with all things in life)
