April 1st
Finally got home at nine, after going through the entire German section in the Sackler library. Hadn't intended to, but the two books I was after didn't have the information I needed, so it just went from there. I have a vague feeling that my plans to finish the skirt tonight and write on my essay won't exactly happen...
And I'm posting these now, in case some of you missed these April Fool's Jokes:
- ThinkGeek's squeezy bacon and USB pet rock. The Swedish quote in the bacon page (a word by word translation) made me giggle.
- The Guardian - now only as Twitter. Quotes: "the Daily Mail recently pioneered an iPhone application providing users with a one-click facility for reporting suspicious behaviour by migrants or gays." and "A mammoth project is also under way to rewrite the whole of the newspaper's archive, stretching back to 1821, in the form of tweets. Major stories already completed include "1832 Reform Act gives voting rights to one in five adult males yay!!!"; "OMG Hitler invades Poland, allies declare war see tinyurl.com/b5x6e for more"; and "JFK assassin8d @ Dallas, def. heard second gunshot from grassy knoll WTF?""
