sub-zero temperatures and THE talk
i am so cold right now. my office, not to mention my store is like 55 degrees or something. so all day long, my irish employee has been throwing out these crazy frustrations with the thermostat situation. he's pretty funny. i finally broke down about 1pm today and called mall maintenance when i realized we actually don't have a thermostat in the store. they still haven't called me back, nor have they turned up the temp. but all this leads me to wonder, who controls the a/c and heat and am i paying for another store's temperature? hopefully i'll get some reassuring phone call in the morning with a response that i want to hear.
i just had a dtr with a friend of mine. well, he instigated it. due to the nature of our friendship and i guess the fact that those in common with us were trying to 'set' us up, he felt the need to have 'the talk' since i was never interested in him, i suppose it came across as quite a surprise that there would be a necessity to have this long, drawn out talk in the first place. but i do have to say, i appreciate the fact that he took the initiative, even though it may have been awkward for him. i still have a great friend and now have even more respect for his character.
