Dear Claudia Black and Ben Browder via Farscape DVD commentary,

Thank you for reminding me how awesome Galaxy Quest was.

Sincerely,
M. McGregor, the living legend.

PS: Every time you make fun of Stargate, I forgive you a little more for actually being on it.

Oh yes, the commentary for "Crackers don't matter" was very disappointing, and so far is the only one I haven't listened to. I was really looking forward to it since that is one of the greatest episodes of the series, but you don't really appreciate the natural chemistry between Claudia Black and Ben Browder until she gets put in a room with Ian Whatshisname. The guy made a great episode, but he's not exactly a dynamic personality.

The rest are all pretty much gold, though. I'm really surprised by how much thought Ben Browder puts into everything, as well as his savant-like knowledge of the production of the show. The fact that he's line-for-line reciting his and other characters' dialogue years after making the show is fairly impressive.

Or he's just a huge nerd who sits around watching his own TV show over and over, not that there's anything wrong with that.

I also thought Ben Browder's insight into fanfiction was pretty interesting when he said basically, "Hey if you guys actually want good, interesting commentary on these episodes, you need to go check out the fandom on the internet. They've said everything there is to be said. All I can tell you about is what lens we used that day."

Someone really needs to hire Ben Browder for another series, because that guy is too much of a professional not to be on a hit TV show.

I'm on Die Me, Dichotomy now and heading blissfully into season three.
