Is it wrong that when I watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I spent the whole last half of the movie screaming, "No! You fool! She's Kristen Bell! Go back to her! Go back to her!"
The scene where she almost starts crying at the front desk? Oh that hurts. That hurts me so much.
I hate all of you people who told me to watch Veronica Mars, because I had to add another actress to the list of people who I will watch in anything they ever do, regardless of quality (although goddammit, Summer Glau, you are really testing that with Sarah Connor Chronicles and its generally nonsensical crappiness.)
They need to give Kristen Bell a new show where she gets to play a good guy again, because I think I'm genetically predisposed to want her to succeed in everything she does. I was really hoping
that she would kill Claire in Heroes last season. Not because I hate Claire (although she sure is whiny, and definitely doesn't make the list of people I will watch a show for), but because she just looks so gosh-darned determined! She's too plucky! Her pluckiness shines through even when she's supposed to be the unlikable character!
I don't usually like to do the whole fanboy gushing thing over an actress (or any actors/actress, really. I tend to save my gushing for the people who write the dialogue and stories that make me like the characters they play), but it really did just make the movie very different for me, and that's not something that happens to me very often.
Do you know just how quickly my head would explode if they announced they were making a zombie movie featuring Kristen "Can you do me a favor?" Bell, Summer "I can kill you with my brain" Glau, and Milla "Chicken. Good." Jovovich?
Answer: Quickly.
