I'm looking for a British term...

I know that the British term for sneakers is "trainers."  But what would be the British term for a sweat suit?  Jogging suit?  Running clothes?

My British auntie called them "track suits" but you should hold out for a bona fide Brit to confirm this for you!

Thanks for the information. I'm using it in a new drabble at grangersnape100.

I'd say track suit.

Thanks for your reply. Since you're the second person to tell me "track suit," I'm going to go for it. You can see the result in my new drabble at grangersnape100. BTW, I plotted my location on your map. :-)

I very likely will, if the comments look good. I feel pretty satisfied with this one. I didn't quite feel that way about "Promise You'll Hex Me" for the old and grey challenge. Maybe that story needs to be fleshed out more. I'm not sure.

When I wrote Send Not to Know, the question came up. Track suit was my Brit-picker's reply, and the lower half are known as "trackie bottoms". LOL!

Ha, ha, hee, hee... etc. In my drabble Severus wears a track suit, but if I had used the term "trackie bottoms," I'm not sure I would have been able to finish typing through the hysterical giggling fit!

By the way, your icon is yummy.

I have a weakness for Trent Reznor as Professor Snape. I made that one; you are welcome to use it, if you like.

Yeah, trackie bottoms gave me a turn; I can never read it without snickering.
