Gazprom unwilling and unable to provide international transit services to third parties

"Due to Russia's geographical location, the Company has the potential to become an energy “bridge” between the European and Asian markets by supplying its own natural gas and providing gas transit services to other producers", says Gazprom's website.

In real life, only Gazprom subsidiaries can buy transit services to ship gas purchased from Central Asian producers. Russian producers are unable to sell gas to European and Asian markets because of the export monopoly of Gazprom in the Russian Federation.
