so far i have watched a lot of movies this summer...but thats normal since there is really nothing else to do in this town so to list a few here ya go:
.) Hotel Rwanda- good movie, a little slow at first, but def. must be seen by everybody since its based on actual events that occured which many Americans didn't really know about. which is a sad thing to realize like 10 years later.
.) Mr. and Mrs Smith- brad pitt is attractive. angelina jolie is attractive. and the short scenes which contain vince vaughn were a great bonus to the two other beautiful people in the movie. but overall i really didn't like this movie. all it had going for it was the amazingly gorgeous cast and the whole "lets see the chemistry between brad and angelina on screen" thing.
.) Heathers- great dark comedy. and of course its an amazing 80's flick. some of the best lines. my personal favorite: "Fuck me hard with a chainsaw!".
.) Boogeyman- all i have to say is i would have rather sat through Mr. and Mrs. Smith again then see this horrible movie.
.) Batman Begins- well i love Batman movies and Christian Bale and put those two together and well its a damn good thing. only thing i didn;t like was katie holmes. but thats a given.
.) The Machinist- Yet another Christian Bale movie. And can I just say not only do i normally find him attractive (not in this movie though) but he can act as well. Plus the story line was crazy and i liked the concept and all that. Major props to Bale on dropping down to like 119 pounds to play this role. i guess he didn;t eat for like 3 weeks and could barely like run when he had to for the film cause he had no muscle left. crazy shit. but atleast see the movie just to see how skinny this man gets!
.) The Jacket- Good movie. very interesting story line. cool way it was filmed and everything. adrien brody did a good job in the movie.
.) Suspect Zero- this movie was a little slow for my taste. but the ideas that were brought up about a serial killer that was random and not routine was interesting since usually the way they catch them is by figuring out the routine and yeah u get the point. i say rent this movie with a group of people. cause well its just ok.
.) Bewitched- first of all i hate nicole kidman but i adore will ferrell so i figured i could tough it out to see this movie. there was one part in the movie that was hilarious and the rest i felt was pretty lame. even though i do find myself quoting the " i want to make love to u on the back of a killer whale at sea world" quite often. but we all know that was definately not written in the script, that was Will's own of course.definately wait for it to come out on dvd.
.) Phantom of the Opera- well i knew the story line and most of the songs. personally not one of my favorite musicals. but i watched it with my mom which was fun so i think for the whole mother daugther bonding thing i could stomach it. but if i wasn;t with my mom i would pass on this film.
