Death of a Slayer... inthenow

I was sure I had made quite the impression after speaking with Angel and his associates. The look on their faces after 'terminating' Eve's contract with the firm and the partners with one fatal blow was more than priceless. But now there were other things that required my attention. I took the elevator down to the basement level of the firm. Interestingly enough, in the three days that I had been here, watching things from afar, no one had taken notice of me. I would have to talk to security about this little issues when it was time, or probably talk to Angel about 'replacing' them with more competent employees. But that was a conversation for another day.

Finally, the elevator stopped and I was at the place were I was holding Miss Maria Huntington against her will. After watching things from a distance I needed to set things perfectly clear, not only to Angel and his team, but also to everyone who was associated with him. The partners meant business, and I was here to make sure that their concerns were conveyed to all the right channels and that all business ran smoothly from now on, or else there would be dire consequences.

Miss Huntington would be another statistic for the team of course, but I was sure that it was going to send the message.

Capturing her the night before had been quite easy actually, she had done and excellent job of defending herself, Mr. Rupert Giles would have been quite proud of his little slayer in training, but this was a necessary evil-- I had already given Angel a personal message from the partners, and it was about time I did the same for Giles and the Slayers.

The Senior Partners wanted Wolfram and Heart to be the driving force of evil, and for that evil to flourish here on earth we had to provide the best quality legal advice and services to mortals and demons alike who sought to dominate and destroy good in all forms.

Turned the video recorder on again, and her eyes widened. I had to admit that it made me smile. I grabbed one of the scalpels and got up close to her pointing the scalpel at her pretty face. "Now Miss Huntington, I believe these are your last hours. I would ask if there was anything you wanted to say, but I think your screams would do just fine."

And that she did. The gag muffled her screams, but she screamed out loud nonetheless. With one swift blow I brought the scalpel to her face, making sure that everything was being perfectly recorded by the camera.

"I wonder Miss Huntington, who would be called next once you are dead," I said as she cried and whimpered with fear.

After several hours I was finally done. I had to give it to the slayer, she had lasted quite a long time. I turned around and smiled for the camera as I pulled out my hanker shift and wipe the tool clean.

"Mr. Giles, I just wanted to make sure you got this message. Wolfram and Hart is a business, and we pride ourselves in providing the best service possible to many clients in this dimension and many others, and we very much dislike disturbances of any kind. I ask to please make sure you keep your girls at bay, and as far away from our business as possible or one of them may be next in line. And I know you don't want the same thing that happened to Miss Huntington to happen to another one of your girls. Are we clear? I hope so."

And with that I turned the video recorder off and packaged the video itself in a padded envelope. Then I wrote:

RUPERT GILES, HYPERION HOTEL
LOS ANGELES, CA

And sent it on his way via messenger. I looked back at the mess in the basement, and called clean up crew to clear the mess.

I would say, for being my first official day in the firm, I wasn't doing too badly.
