(no subject)
t-1:13:00 until my advanced dynamics class. i tried looking over the notes the prof sent out, but i just get lost almost immediately. it's a lot about the wave equation and then some fourier transforms. i've studied the wave euation before. problem is, what he has in his notes looks mothing like what i remember. so the rest of the afternoon prior to class will be spent going through my quantum notes and book trying to figure this thing out. i'm already totally going to be the dumb kid in class since i don't technically have the background to be in it. too bad the prof likes to offer it once ever 4-5 years. so unless i want to be a yale grad student for the rest of my life, this is the only chance i'll have to take it while it might matter to me in any way. and i'm sure it will. after spending a couple of hours in the office plugging away at some math homework, i spent about an hour and a half late this morning running around taking care of some errands since this class doesn't end until 5, at which point i plan on leaving basically immediately for NY. i had to go deposit my paycheck because apparently one month is not enough time to get my direct deposit paperwork into the system. and i had to get gas, which i did since i was out anyways.
once i get out of class, im biking home as fast as humanly possible and getting the hell over to wells. i can't WAIT to be on campus again. god i'm glad i appreciated that place for what it is while i was there or this whole shock to the system of grad school would probably have been a whole lot worse.
