I just got an email from Desert Gear. 5.11 Tactical Gear, one of the most expensive companies in the market, is raising their prices by around 25 percent pretty much across the board stating March 1. Desert Gear will maintain their current pricing until March 4 ( Read more... )

I'm sure Dutch's old squadron will wait until March 5 because that's how they roll, and they love overpriced gear.

Did they say how long it had been since they'd had a price increase or the reason for this one?

Nope, just that the mfr was jacking the price and they were staying at current levels for a couple extra days.

I still haven't found any pants that suit me better than Dickies 85283. Dressy enough for most anything shy of wearing a suit, and then, when they finally get a bit worn, they move to the "work clothes" drawer. Even with my life, I still get at least five years out of them.

And the tunnel belt loops will actually support and distribute real weight on your belt, unlike the silly loops that are on most pants.

Dunno why folks pay more for expensive stuff that doesn't last as long...
