[F]acilius per partes in cognitionem totius adducimur

Things have settled down and become rather quiet these days. It has been quite a while now for many of us and, clearly, our kidnapper and his accomplices haven't shown their faces. This place, while still most easily described as 'creepy as fuck,' has been eerily quiet and easy to live in overall, and I'm getting the itching feeling that this is ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure something nasty will happen soon. It's bound to happen in a place like this... Besides... We forgot about those marks-- Tattoos. They... might hold some connection.

...wine? I'll go and check it out.

You're a little kid though, right? Wine won't be very good for you.

...Why not? It seems that people feel a lot better after drinking wine.

Well, even if most of what's down there isn't even wine anymore anyway 'feeling better' after drinking is entirely relative- it's not that things like the 'legal drinking age' would even matter in this place, but I don't think that letting a kid get drunk would be okay.

Why would you be interested in 'feeling better?' Are you not well?

Why wouldn't it be okay? Adults drink it too, right? You have tried it before, haven't you?

No. I've been tired and exhausted. And hungry...

It can lead to liver disease, kill brain cells, it can lead to high blood-pressure and heart disease... That being said? I've more than had it before, and I'm a perfectly fine specimen. Still, it wouldn't be good for my reputation as a n upholder of justice and the law if I patted you on your back and sent you on your merry way to discovering the wide world of underage alcoholism, now, would it?

If you're tired and hungry, you know that there's a kitchen downstairs, right? And if you're having trouble sleeping, at least laying down and letting your body rest can help, even if your brain doesn't shut off.

No, I don't think it would be right for you to do that... If it leads to such things, I'm not even sure why anyone would drink it at all. Just because it makes one happy? That's just silly. ...does that make you silly too?

I'll try resting then, thank you. And food. Do they have cookies down there? Or did the tiny kid eat them all?

It made me a curious, overly-independent young man who could discreetly have his way while investigating in countries with more lax age restrictions. 'Silly's the right word for it, sure. It doesn't make you happy or sad so much as it makes everything feel fuzzy and releases your inhibitions- some people like that. I don't particularly enjoy not being able to think at full capacity...

...Why am I saying all of this to a kid? Don't drink. That's that.

There's plenty of food down there last I checked... but fewer cookies than usual. It's been pretty thoroughly raided, since a handful of us are incurable sweet-tooths. Are yu another person who likes their sweets?

So you really did funny things. Did you start singing for no reason? I heard that happens when you feel weird.

...I really shouldn't drink it?

No. I just haven't tried cookies before so I wanted to eat some. I heard that they are very tasty. Especially chocolate ones.

--I didn't mean it like that! The way you worded it, I was just replying in kind and I

...You're a strange kid. How'd you even know to insinuate?

-It's true about the chocolate, anyway. That it's really, really tasty I have quite a few cookies and chocolate things in general stashed-away here especially since the little one hasn't come by to have them yet, so if you want a hand-out I can consider it.

Just one or two, though. I'm better about sharing, but I'm still not good

...I'm sorry if you got flustered over this. It wasn't my intention.

Insinuate? ...Why shouldn't I say what I think?

You would really share one or two? Thank you Mello. I'd like some. One or two will be enough for this experience. And if I don't like them well, more for you.

[[ooc: It sure is. >3 I feel so sorry for the poor guy sometimes.]]

...You should say what you think. I'm just a little- impressed, that a kid would know to insinuate something like that.

I'm not big on sharing, especially not chocolate, but- Hoarding doesn't look very professional. I can give-up a bite, at least, for you to see what you think of it. You're gonna' be on your own so far as getting more for yourself later though, kid, I warn you beforehand.

[[ooc: sorry for the late reply-!!]]
