Treatments are progressing. Not much is known right now. They are going to keep her in observation for most of this week, and if things look good, send her home after that (fully planning on not completely sewing her back up even then), and she'll have a nurse visit her once a day to clean out the incision. Things are still largely up in the air, but they don't sound as minute-by-minute As I thought they were before.
Of course, everything sounds really bad when your mom is on the other end of the line having trouble talking through tears (like before).
