 Prompt asked for Moran or John in military uniform. Well, I was working on this before it was posted so I thought - seeing as it fits the criteria...a bit - I might as well share.

So here's a picture that is supposed to be Sebastian Moran of the past in Military uniform, and the Moran of present, modelling the latest Vivienne Westwood suit of our dear Moriarty's picking :D
