Got a reply to my email....

Weelll.. turns out I should have just gone to the same room they were holding the auditions, they had scripts their and everything.  Turns out though for the audition process they want you to read two monologues from different plays and then they'll call you back and (I assume) you can try out for more specific characters then.  I'd always assumed people would come, research the play(s), get a character they had in mind they'd like to try out for, and audition a scene from the film they picked.  Guess they do it differently there.

Anyway, I'm too late to audition for anything this semester.  Can't believe how rushed they made it... I mean, classes started Monday, and auditions for the non-theater majors closed Thursday evening.  Course, I guess it's one of those things were those who were in the theater program would already know about the auditons and what's and wheres well in advance.

Wasn't a total loss though, meet a young lady who told me a bit about the audition process and the other groups that put on various plays.  There's a couple of what they call "24 hour" plays they put on throughout the year, where someone literally writes and the actors before a short play (skit?) within 24 hours.  Plus there's this improv group they have and a "club" of sorts that meets every Friday night.  (What's weird is they meet at 10:30 PM for some inexplicible reason.  Seems kind of late for a meeting to start.)  So, I don't know, might check it out...

Meantime, i don't know.. other than the confusion about the play, I was feeling good for the most part of yesterday, I felt a bit tired, but not as tired as usual, thinking maybe the nasal spray I've been taking might be helping me sleep better, and was starting to hope that getting more sleep would help ease the depression... buuut.. today I felt tired and more and more depressed through the day.  Course, I don't know, maybe the problem was thatI took my nasal medicine and then didn't go to bed for about another hour or so.. .maybe I should have taken it right at bedtime.

Oh, I take the medicine to help loosening my nostrils, which, in turn should help with my snoring.  I've been told I snore rather loudly, I suspect that might be prevented me from sleeping well.  Actually, I'm not sure if I still do snore loudly, as no one has been goodly enough to sleep with me for a long time.  (Well, except Buttons and she doesn't talk.)

Decided to use a different user pic for this entry, isn't it adorable?  :)
