(no subject)
In contrast to the infamous Freshman 15, I have lost roughly five pounds in the last month. I was pretty fuckin' delighted right up until I realized that this is probably due to me skipping meals due to schedule, which could also account for a few problems that have been cropping up. Namely that I have been feeling lightheaded and unenergetic and generally horrible. Unless that's the rain. God I hate rain.
My problem is that left to my own devices, I eat at noon, when I wake up, some point between six and nine, which is dinner, and then vaguely after midnight before I turn in. When I'm at the dorms, I don't do the last due to dining hall being too far away and also closed and everything else costing money. Two(ish) days out of the week, I'm at home, and two I have classes in the morning so I usually buy some manner of bagel sandwich, but then Mondays and Wednesdays are kind of uncomfortable!
I usually don't do much during them anyway, but earlier tonight I went out with a suitemate and nearly passed out from low blood sugar in the middle of some sort of art presentation. Oh well. I found out that I live with a fellow geek so it was all worth it. Socializing with real people always makes me feel fuzzy.

DAY SEVEN WHAT WAS THAT OTP
Hoo boy is this ever a hard one. I can't even remember all the people I ship so I'm gonna go with a classic.
Incidentally, my most recent game ship is probably Deugan/Emela, but there's no flashy fanart for it. Hell, there's barely any fanart for these guys. I started out shipping it because it was at the time the closest to actual canon manlove I'd ever seen and I was a crazy crazy yaoi fangirl back in the day (all queries on whether this sentence should be in the past tense or not are to be directed to shut your face). I do honestly like the chemistry, though! Their interactions swing between sweet and hilariously dysfunctional because they both kind of have big damn issues. Or at least Raven does. Lucius has a pretty rough backstory and... okay, I'm mainly inferring that he has issues because he hangs around Raven instead of running the hell away screaming.
I'd ship it less if it was all Raven brooding around being grouchy and ellipses-ing and Lucius fluttering around him making iyanfaces, as it looks like it's going to be at first, but then you hit Support Conversation B and Lucius decides he's had enough of Raven's tsundere bullshit and flips the fuck out at him. I found that part pretty amazing since it's the one time he does anything of the sort - Serra mistakes him for a woman, Priscilla goes one further and accuses him of prostitution, Karel creeps out at him muttering about smelling blood, and Renault admits to murdering his father, but he doesn't even raise his voice. Actually, gonna check that. He raises his voice in a non-Raven context twice, once to get Karel's attention and once when Renault's having a minor panic attack. Compare to his Raven conversations, where he's throwing around exclamation points every other sentence.
On Raven's side, Lucius is the only person he opens up to. His other supports are focused far more on the other person, and he hardly ever says anything about himself outright. The only other person he's close to is Priscilla, and he's pretty damn awkward around her. Also, after promising to give up his revenge and stay by her side, he buggers off to Etruria in the ending anyway. Between that and her lack of Sain ending, Priscilla has terrible terrible luck. Even two out of her three romance endings end relatively badly.
DAY EIGHT ENOUGH OF THOSE FIRE EMBLEMS HOW BOUT SOME AWESOME MUSIC
I almost said Final Fantasy XIII but I've been listening to Touhou Music and DAMN. I suspect a great deal of it is fanmade because Touhou is 98% fandom but god damn.
DAY NINE THE SAD FACE THE SADDEST FACE
Oddly enough, the one that really got to me was Amaterasu's last race with Tobi. The previous segments had been achingly hard, so he really felt like a Worthy Opponent, and I've always had a soft spot for Mook type characters with dimensions beyond Kill All That Is Good. It's been a while, so I don't remember the exact implications on why he died, I just remember that he was just enjoying himself so goddamn much and he knew keeping it up would mean his death and possibly the downfall of his master and he didn't care because racing was what he lived for. And then the flower and I just teared up.
Incidentally, google image searching Amaterasu + Tobi gets you a lot of Naruto. And I spent so long on the ship analysis thing it is now technically day ten and I'm off to a wedding for the long weekend so hahaha backlogs back to back no doubt.
