Mmm MMM PKT's are Tasty

Well, I did in fact get my hair cut. We all did, actually...the upperclassmen like to call us fetuses...ouch, very ouch. Actually it's hilarious. Went down to Growler yesterday after classes. The wind was kicking up to probably 35 mph on the water. So needless to say, I had a ball sitting on top of the house watching all the guys on the dinghy team tacking out of the basin. A couple of the real experienced guys went out in the basin first, messing around, to show the more novice sailors what would happen if they caught too much wind - the flipped and righted the thing about 5 times and it was pretty fun to watch. Watching all this made me wish there were 48 hours in a day, just so I could take advantage of a few more things that this place has to offer.

Had dinner, enjoyed it the best I could. Enjoyed my soda more though ;-)...that privilege ends today, so it looks like I'll be looking for more work to do around here (and it's not hard to find). Anyways, I mentioned thinking I did well on the PKT...we got them back last night and I got a 100 somehow. I'm guessing my alter ego believes in cheating and took the test for me or something. There were a few other guys that got 100's too, so our Company Training Officer is giving us five guys or so order out privilege this Friday. We can't decide what we want...we're literally kids in a candy store. The Intranet has numbers and menus posted, so we're studying those harder than calculus right now.

Well, I'm done with class for the day...KP100, English and Calc - all of which are STILL going quite smoothly. I can tell its starting to pick up though; big English draft due friday, KP100 and Calc tests Monday...but at least I know the stuff. Storm is going out today so I'll be down there for that. I still can't pick between the two; Growler and Storm, but at least I can run between them for now. Hmm... Well, since I have about 3 more hours until I have to be anywhere, I'll just keep writing. Some kid in another company apparently wrote some bad things about the Academy and posted it online. One of the upperclassmen found it and now the whole regiment of upperclassmen want to fight this guy. I started to worry for a second about this thing, but then I realized that I actually want to be here and don't have anything bad to say or write about this place. That's probably because I asked a few more questions than everyone else early on, found out what this place was all about, and had a lot of time to figure out if it was for me or not. Anytime I have doubts, I just think of the past year that I sat at home looking forward to coming here - let alone what I'll get to do here and after graduation! Well, I think that's the extent of my pontification, and the number of times I can use "I" in one paragraph. I believe it's time to check for a package! Thanks for reading!
