(no subject)
Time for a quick update, methinks.
So, John is back in Cleveland, and he forgot his stupid phone charger here in Kalamazoo, so I can't call him and talk to him for a week. But I will see him next weekend and give it to him, so I suppose AIM it'll be. We had fun while he was here; played PacMan, saw SoaP (which was ridiculous), watched some talkies. I miss him already.
I took the GRE yesterday. Didn't do too poorly. Got a 780 on the quantitative (which means I got a math question wrong, boo) and a 580 on the verbal (which means I got a LOT of english questions wrong), which is good enough for me. Don't know yet about the written part, because they have to read it to score it, and the computer I took the test on did not appear to contain elves. But let me just say, for the record, I hate those stupid questions that put two completely unrelated words together with a colon and expect you to find the pair with the same relationship. That's stupid. One of mine, and this is my favourite, was Arrogance:Defer:: and then a bunch of choices. OK, English major friends, here you must shine; HOW THE FUCK IS ARROGANCE RELATED TO DEFER? That's a bunch of crap.
My Abstract Algebra book costs $140. That is too much. That's like, a whole credit. Only it's a book. I want another credit for this class if I have to pay that much for the stupid book.
The randomness will end now. I hope soon I have something useful to say on lj.
