Alas, unless I've been misinformed, you can't vote in VA or MD's primaries unless you're actually registered with a party. And since I'm steadfastly independent, no voting for me. :-(
Well...you have been misinformed! The VA primiary is definitly 'open', requiring no party affliation. You just go to your polling place, ask for the ballot of the party you want, then vote.
I could TRY to vote... I was registered in Virginia before I moved, but I think being in Nevada canceled that, and I wasn't able to prove my Virginia residency in time to register.

Do VA, DC or MD do advance voting? Georgia was a Super Tuesday state, but I was able to cast my vote on January 29.
