New music Friday
I'm sitting here in my apartment alone, and when I am alone I usually go to music sites and look up bands similar to bands I really like and then download their music, some of these bands I have heard of some I have not, but I always manage to discover new bands I end up loving this way, here are some bands I was downloading (I've heard of most of these bands and I know some of their songs I just never took the time to listen to them and connect the name of the band with the music.)
King Crimson, Aphrodite's Child, Yes, Jethro Tull, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Van der Graaf Generator, Dream Theater, Joe 90, Built to Spill, and Liquid Tension Experiment.
Yes you can tell by some of these bands that I went on a big progressive rock binge. Most of these bands are from the 70's and naturally they sound better than 90% of the crap floating around the airwaves today, which is probably why I love listening to their music so much.
Sam and I have been watching Six Feet Under, I finally have all 5 seasons on DVD so we're watching the show from start to finish, it is such an awesome show. It's the type of show that can make you laugh your ass off and be depressed at the same time.
Recently I bought Veronica Mars season 2 on DVD, yay! I also got Apocalypse Now the complete Dossier edition as well. Next week if I have any money at all I am getting Desperate House Wives season 2, I can't wait to see Gabrielle get in the cat fight with the nun. I also can't wait to get season 2 of Lost. God, too many TV shows are coming out... *foams at mouth*
