Questions, Questions...

From beautycorrosion:
  • 1. When you are 115 (hey, we're both making it to the triple digits :P) and look back on your life, what is it that you hoped to have accomplished and why?
  • I want to be able to look back and see a huge diary filled with neat things -- stuff people usually talk about but never actually end up doing. You know, the "climb Mt. Everest" or "sail around the world in a balsawood boat" kinda stuff. I can't really tell you what those things are right now, though. They're almost entirely situational, and if I could tell you what they are it would probably strip them of that 'neat' factor anyway.

  • 2. How come I still have not heard any of your music and I am your wife? :P
  • I have a home studio, which means that I don't have to pay by the hour for studio time to get my stuff recorded -- I have the luxury of time....

Which, as a consequence, means that I can spend almost forever working on infinite recursions getting everything 'just right'.

You'll hear it when it's finished. I hope that to be sometime before the end of the next Millenium.

  • 3. What are two things that you wish everyone knew about you?
  • First, I AM YOUR GOD!!!$#%^@

*choke, cough, cough* Sorry, I can't do that with a straight face.

Actually, I don't know if I want everyone to know two particular things in common about me. I have a history of scattering little bits of myself all over the place, and, depending on which pieces someone finds & puts together, that's the impression they have of me. It's interesting seeing how different bits go together. Lookit me, I'm a scavenger hunt!

  • 4. What is the difference between the 303 and the 808?
  • Um, three's and eights?

Seriously, the 303 is a cheesy little overrated monophonic synth from the early 80's used for way too many techno bass lines, while the 808 is a similarly overrated drumbox used behind most of the less-creative rappers and hip-hop artists (sp-1200's notwithstanding). You can get more creative basslines out of a Sidstation or even a FutureRetro box (just to name a couple), while it seems like every sample library on earth has some approximation of the 808 sounds. Get a Jomox or a Machinedrum instead.

  • 5. Where is my money?
  • In my pants, baby... ;)
