The Story So Far Meme
So, for once, I know where a meme actually started! From draycevixen who thought it would be more interesting to list all the situations the lads are stuck in due to a case of rather serious writer's block.
The list is in fandom and then approx date order.
Life on Mars
1. Someone is burying a body.
2. Maya is reading a diary from 1973 whilst sat beside the Sam's hospital bed.
3. Sam has just opened an old box that was delivered while he was still in a coma.
4. Maya is interviewing a colleague of a dead copper, in order to solve a cold case.
5. Gene is desperately trying to find the git who is knocking off his missus.
6. Maya has just been asked out by a big business man by the name of Sam Williams.
7. Sam Williams is trying to get to grips with a new-fangled piece of technology called a "personal computer".
8. Sam is playing chess with an in-patient at the hospital he is currently recuperating at.
9. Vic Tyler has just asked Sam to join him and get him out of the fix he's in.
10. Ray is sitting down to Sunday lunch with Gene, Gene's missus and a rather sore arse.
11. Sam has just come to after the best blow job of his life, only to find out it's not Annie leaning over him, it's Chris.
12. Sam is about to have hot, sweaty, slightly kinky sex with his boss, Chief Superintendent Christopher Skelton.
13. Chris has just moved in to the new house that Sam has bought.

Meanwhile, Sam Tyler is having a devil of a time trying to work out how he got on to the TARDIS and, more importantly, how he has managed to acquire breasts. He is also trying to work out why, exactly, the Doctor is insisting on a large number of pre-flight checks.
20. Sam is in hospital, having his appendix out. The boy in the next bed is being visited by a very chirpy gothy girl wearing a large ankh.
21. Sam has just woken up to the news on the radio that a giant, rampaging cat is on the loose in Manchester.
22. Chief Superintendent Boyd is interviewing a suspect in a cold case. Samuel Williams certainly knows more about the killings that he is letting on.
23. Sam Tyler has just met Cal McCaffery and Danny Kavanagh at a tea party held by Harold Saxon.
24. Alex is sure the ageing prostitute they've just banged up for soliciting is actually Sam Tyler. Sam, on the other hand, is desperately trying to work out how to get out of the station without his boss, George Cowley, finding out his cover has been broken.
I'm slightly disturbed by some of the pairings on this list - my OTPs are very thin on the ground there. (That possibly explains why they're all still WIPS!
