How does it feel to be debt free? Well I'l tell you - pretty damn good - but a little anti-climactic. Mostly because no trumpets played and a ticker tape parade did not break out and doves were not released on the mailing of that last check. And that deep breath that I was holding in has seemed not to be let out but in fact transfered to other things - isn't that life. We create our reality and make the constants in our life... well, constant. There will always be somenthing else to worry about or something else to look forward to. Another purchase to dream of and another life to envy.
What's on the horizon you ask. Now we begin rebuilding a buffer for life's up's and down's - thinking again about retirement (sad but true) and saving saving saving all the time. (One little side note... SCOTLAND 2007 - I can't wait! now we really can actually plan instead of dream!!!) Um... what else - college for me - here I come high school with ashtray's and tuition (aka - community college) also me writing more and Michael starting his biz. (And maybe one more little bundle - probably a puppy - maybe a baby :-) - Neither if Michael has his say :-0 - What else... what else? Um thinking about a house to buy but not until late summer next year. Maybe not at all if the housing market is still in the shitter. Maybe a new car - ours are just about at the finish line. They've had a good run but soon it might be time to put them to pasture.
Hope your lives are going just as peachy if not more so. We think of you often and only half of that time is spent grumbling :-)
Oh and PS - some of you I've talked to about a little something in 2008 - you know that "thing" - well I'd like to actually make some concrete plans. So um yeah - call me and we'll chat. Secret like. :-)
