If you've seen Mike's LJ you know about his mom. She has breast cancer. Wednesday she had a mastectomy of her right breast. Today the last of her test's came back - it has not spread to any more of her body as of right now. For now she's recovering from the surgery. In two weeks she starts chemotherapy. She does that for 6-8 months and as long as

Thank you Court - you were actually one of the first people I thought of when we heard the news.

If I didn't already specifically tell you - thank you for walking the 3-Day. I know it wasn't easy and you wanted to throw your hands in the air and say F@#^ It! but you didn't. People like you are why people like Mike's mom have a chance. Her doctor told her the research and treatment options and rate of recovery has so far outreached what it was 10 years ago. All because of the man hours and donations and people unwilling to give up on finding a cure. Thank you.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

With October being breast cancer awareness month, there's lots of things to do to show support this month- one of my favorites is the Boobie-Thon (www.boobiethon.com). You take a picture of your girls, covered or un-covered and they go up on the site. Uncovered pics require a minimum $50 donation to view and all the money goes to the cause.

I contribued both covered and uncovered last year, but so far just covered this time around!
