More on 24
Along with running some errands and getting some things done around the house I managed to watch to the next 8 episodes of 24.
It's too much to get into a lot of the details, but Jack was able to get Teri and Kim away from their kidnappers. Ira Gaines and several of their captors were killed. Jack's wife and daughter are taken to the clinic for examinations and then to a safe house for debriefing. Jack was taken back to CTU for questioning and was going to be handed over to the Justice Dept. before Senator Palmer got him temporarily reinstated for the rest of the day. Jack and the senator figure our that the people trying to kill them are from Serbia. It seems that Jack and a team of operatives were sent in on a covert mission to eliminate a man named Victor Drazen by a Senate sub-committee headed by Senator Palmer. Unknown to either of them Jack's team had killed Drazen's wife and daughter during the hit. It is two of Drazen's sons who are heading up the team that have come to take revenge on Jack and the Senator by killing both them and their families exactly two years to the day later.
Two of the assassination team manage to find the safe house and take our all of the agents protecting Teri and Kim, but they manage to escape. Teri pulls the car off on a side road to allow the pursuer to drive by, but her car slides off the cliff when she got out to see if things were safe. When Teri sees her daughter go over the cliff and the car burst into flames she passes out. When she comes to she is totally disoriented and has amnesia. She is picked up by a passing motorist. Kim had been thrown from the car, and when she regains consciousness she can't find her mother and so ends Episode 8.
There are a variety of other subplots I haven't mentioned at all. How they will all be resolved is too much to speculate on here. Is there another mole in CTU providing information to the terrorists? Will Teri and/or Kim be recaptured? Jamey slit her wrists and died when the clinic was unable to save her, but will any of the other main characters not survive the day? Once again, many questions remain unanswered.
Well, eight more hours to go! It's looks like school will be in session tomorrow, so it may be the weekend before I have another chance to see what happens. Will I be able to wait that long? :)
