now i know it's over, and thank god for that, but i just thought i would share with you how much of a pig we had to live with last year.
so i arrived at our apartment on sunday afternoon hoping that the mess sara left us was at least partially cleaned up, still no response from my bazillion phone calls and messages. i decided to get to work and not risk the hefty fine that would follow if our apartment wasn't cleaned and keys turned in my monday.
this is what i found...
first i tackled the kitchen where i found old moldy dishes abandoned in the dishwasher. i threw them all away. who needs em right? I then decided to turn off the refrigerator right away so that it would have a chance to thaw out before i left. well guess what, it had already been turned off, with one little catch, some dumbass left most of the food in there to rot away. eggs, sour cream, cheese, and more were sitting there for weeks it looked like, and damn did they smell horrible! I then went to the sink to find the stove covers sitting in rusty, stagnant water. This was bad, i pulled them out and what do you know, they were also covered in rusty goop, who knows what that was.
[i'm not dumb. and so, i had brought along with me three pairs of gloves along with me. this way i wouldn't have to touch anything nasty.]
next i moved upstairs where i cleaned out the bathroom which one disgusting person was inhabiting for a couple weeks. i cleaned out the bath tub and shower crusted over in soap scum and long ass leg hairs. the toilet had pee pee in it, that had been forgotten about long ago. but that didn't surprise me so much. sick i know, but it happened so much, and so much worse. after i completed the upstairs and most of the downstairs i decided it was time for the last room in the house... the family room. there was crap all over the place. i know i picked up about five pairs of socks, a pair of underwear, yes underwear, fossilized hamburger buns, and beads everywhere. after that i vacuumed things up, took out the 20 bags of trash [seeing how i threw away almost everything in my sight], and went home. i was by far the sweatiest i had ever been, but i'm just so glad to not be living with that girl anymore that i don't even care about what i had to do.
this isn't meant to hurt anyone's feelings, i just want to share this experience with everyone, so they too can laugh at the way things were my whole sophomore year, living with this girl. I also don't want anyone to feel bad for me, i really don't care about having to clean, i actually can't believe i fell for the whole "i'll clean the apartment all myself, don't worry" bull shit. Besides, i know i've seen worse, especially since i worked at the valley plaza hotel as a maid last summer. what was i thinking?
so just laugh with me, i mean it is pretty damn funny right?!
