Pop-up problems
I have a question for the computer literates among you: what is the most effective way of barring pop-ups?
I've been having problems with them for a couple of months (since someone else used my computer whilst I was on holiday in fact). At first it was marginally irritating but the sort of pop-ups has recently gone from mildly crude to downright pornographic which is highly embarrassing in an open plan office.
I've had IT people over to remove all my illicit downloads and I've set my Google toolbar to block pop up but still I get endless windows asking about my interest in adult content sites. Has anyone got any advice? Am beginning to seriously contemplate rebuilding whole computer from scratch but wanted to see if there was anything I could do before that rather extreme measure.
