I've just talked to someone from a major website (you'll see) who asked me about doing a review--asked, because they have a large readership and knew that it could be "an adversarial experience." I'd wanted to bring this up anyway, so it's as good an opening as any ( Read more... )

Unrelated to your post, but just a heads-up...

The wonderful Play.com (who are quick and reliable) are selling your book for £5.99 with free delivery to the whole of Europe.

Good luck with it - did you notice you were #17 on Amazon? :D

Not sooo quick and reliable... I preordered it with them but they don't have any in stock. *taps foot*

:/

That must have been really annoying for you! *shakes fist in their direction* I have to say though, I've never had any problems with them. I pre-ordered the book and it's arrived today - but it's at home and I'm at work *whine*

I've had far more issues with Amazon really.

Yeah, I agree, usually they are great. Much better than Amazon, and cheaper, too. I can't shop in "real" shops anymore now - "People are paying HOW MUCH for a DVD?!?" XD They must just have had more people preordering this book than they anticipated. *wiggles fingers in a magical way in their general direction* Post my book, you!

I'm with you in not shopping in 'real' shops anymore... the prices are insane! *cries of poor student* I do still like the atmosphere though, walking into a bookshop and being able to touch and look at the books. More often than not I'll pick up a book and read it over a Starbucks. :)

*agrees with cries of poor student* Yes, I too share that blight. However, I still seem to spend an insane amount on books :D.

Ditto. That's why I bought it in the shop full price and cancelled my order :p

Heh :) i just discovered that as well. Could only pre-order though.
My only hope as I live in Denmark, the bookshops of which the book will probably not reach this side of the next Ice Age.
