And not even that, really, as it's almost midnight.
A weird favor I wanted to ask some of y'all in Britain--or wherever else they happen to get the book on actual shelves: if you're around town with a digital camera or a camera phone, and you happen to be at the bookstore, do you think you could take a picture of the book(s)? I was talking to someone earlier today who suggested that it might feel more real to me when I saw the book in a real store, on a real shelf, and I was like, "...yeah, that's not gonna happen for a while."
(Seems like it's a common misconception that I'm British, or at the very least non-American. Truth is, I've lived all my life here in Alabama, and it's a weird fluke of irony that my book isn't coming out in my own country for a while. It's just that a British editor proposed the book after reading the Troy parody on LJ in the first place, which is how all of this started, and how I wound up with a British publisher in the first place. Which is why I keep saying: trust me, it will come out in North America eventually. We're still working on that.)
Aight. I'm going to bed, and... I guess I'll see you guys in a few hours when it's actually my bookday, to coin a word.
