Love bingo prompt: YES!
Alphonse does a lot of things while his big brother was asleep.
Sometimes, he would read or research their current project or mission. Sometimes, he would write. Just notes…not a journal. His big brother would never let him hear the end of it.
Sometimes, he would go for a walk.
He liked it at night. There weren't many people on the streets. The noise was reduced to the echoing steps on the sidewalk and sound of dogs barking. Sometimes, he will pass a person or two. But mostly, he was by himself.
The thing that he liked most was the fact that there was no one to point and stare at him. It made him feel uncomfortable and out of place. Well…more out of place, he was a suit of armor after all. Everywhere they go, people would point. It was disconnecting.
But that wasn't the most disconnected thing.
Not sleeping or eating.
He missed food. He couldn't smell it or taste it. He could only imagine.
He sighed as he forced those thoughts aside. He wanted to clear his thoughts, not jumble it. Slowly, he approached a small park. It had one of those small duck ponds. The ducks aren't there but it would be a great place to seat there and just relax.
He should know better.
Because the moment, he was in a few feet of the lake, he heard a soft meow. He looked around to see if he could find the cat. At first, he didn't see anything. He frowned slightly. Maybe, he was imagining it.
Then he heard another meow. This time, he looked to see a little gray and white kitten.
"How did you get up there, little guy?"
The kitten just meow at him. He was lucky that he wasn't too far off the ground. Climbing a tree would awkward and he was more likely to break the tree too. Gently, he picked the kitten out of the tree. The kitten continued to meow at him as he cupped it close to his chest. Gently, he checked to see if the kitten was alright.
Yup, the kitten was alright and he…was really a she. Slowly, he set her on the ground and the kitten moved away from him. Good, she was going home. Suddenly, the kitten stopped and turned around to stare at him.
"Now, you go home, okay?"
The kitten didn't walk away. She came right back over and batted at his foot. He smiled slightly.
"You know that I am not a toy."
The kitten continued to play with his foot like it was the best toy in the world. It melted his heart a little. He always wanted a kitten but life happened. He took a seat on the grass to allow the kitten to play some more. He wasn't going to keep it. He could play with it for awhile.
So, the kitten won't be lonely.
He liked that idea. He heard something purring against his armor. The kitten gave up on his foot and was now pressed against the side. Gently, he ran his fingers through her fur. He couldn't help but smile.
"You know that I can't keep you."
A soft purring was his answer as the kitten pressed against his fingers.
"Big brother won't allow it."
Another purr.
"But I don't want to leave you here by yourself…especially if you don't have a home."
The kitten continued purr. He could feel her purrs vibrate through his armor.
"So, I am going take you with me. Maybe, we can find you a home. What do you think, Ellie? "
Another purr was the best answer he could get. He knew that she would agree with him too.

"Pleaseeee!"
"No, AL! How is world are we suppose to take care of kitten when we are on the road all of the time!" Ed said as he paced across the room. He loved his little brother…he does. Al would adopt every animal that he came cross if he could.
"I'm not going to keep her on the road with us. I am planning to ask Winry watch her for us while we are away."
"What make you think that she would say yes? She is busy too!"
"….."
"Alphonse…."
"I kind of asked her already."
That was kind of fast.
"What did she say?"
"Yes."
"How are you going to get her there?"
His brother gave him a sheepish look.
"Al…."
"Well, I talked to a merchant who is heading that way and he promise to drop her off."
He stopped in tracks and stared at his brother. Al was busy stroking the kitten with one hand while holding it with the other. It was kind of cute. It was kind of nice to see his brother this happy too.
"….Soo…please can I keep her?"
Suddenly, his brother was giving him a puppy dog look. Even as a suit of armor, he still looked liked a giant puppy dog! The cat opened his eyes and was giving him the look! They were teaming up on him! It wasn't fair!
"Yes! Yes! Yes, you can keep her…OMPH!"
He didn't a chance to finish his sentence when he was eloped into a big bear hug.
"THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You are the best big brother ever!"
He grumbled slightly. He wasn't a big sucker.
He wasn't.
He just liked to see his brother happy…that all.

Never Forgotten
By: M14Mouse
Summary: Alphonse is worried that Ellie the cat won't remember him. After all, he is no longer a suit of armor. Sequel to Paw Shaped Heart

Love_bingo prompt: Unbreak my heart
Ed could tell that his brother was nervous. Alphonse was swinging from shifting around in seat to chatting a mile a minute. Of course, it may be the fact that they have been sitting on the train for several days now. He was excited to get home again as well. Although, he had no clue that why his brother was nervous. Everyone back home will be excited to see him again. He could already feel that there a home cooked meal and pie in their future.
"Al, stop moving around."
"I'm nervous and excited."
"No need to be nervous."
"It just…"
His little brother huffed slightly and leaned against his seat.
"Al?"
"I am excited to be home…but do think Den and Ellie will remember me? I was a suit of armor for awhile."
He wanted to laugh but the look on his brother's face was dejected. He didn't want to make him more upset about it. He didn't want to break his heart if his cat forgot him.
"Den…could smell you coming. He knows you, Al. Your cat…well…animals can sense stuff. You know that. Ellie will know who you are."
"I know but…"
"No buts, little brother. Animals just know, okay?"
Al just sighed softly and turned his attention to the window. It was going to be a long train ride home.

Alphonse's heart neatly burst when Den almost jumped on top of him and his big brother.
"Hello, boy. It is good to see you too." He said as he pat down Den's wigging body. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Whiny coming out of the house. He looked up as she brought her hands to her face. He could see that she was about to cry.
A second later, she bolted toward them. It didn't take very long to have her arms wrapped around them. He couldn't help but hug back…even if it was slightly strange with the crutch. He couldn't really understand what she saying between the crying and words. It was feelings were overwhelming. He didn't know what to say.
He really didn't need to say anything as she dragged them toward the house because big brother was talking a mile a minute right back. He just limped beside them and listened to their conversation. He smiled softly. Then something caught the corner of his eye. He turned around and that is when he saw her. It looked liked to him that she was stalking something through the grass.
Ellie grew big. She was no longer the kitten that he found. She was still adorable.
"Ellie?"
The cat stopped in her tracks and stared at him. He didn't dare approach her. He didn't want to scare her away. Slowly, the cat approached him. Slowly, he lowered himself toward the ground. He winced slightly as his muscles protest. He shouldn't…but he needed to do this. He reached out his hand and allowed the cat to come to him. The cat stopped in her tracks. Then a loud bang caused her to bolt off. He sighed softly.
"Don't worry, Al. She will back later," His big brother said as he felt his hand on his shoulder.
He hoped so.
-FMAFMAFMA-
Ellie didn't approach him again until after dinner. He didn't try to seek her out again. He knew enough that always let the cat approach you. So, he waited. For his waiting, he felt something brush against his legs. He looked down to see Ellie brushing and purring against him.
"Hey." He said with a smile.
The cat looked up at him and blinked. He leaned over and gently run his hands against her fur. She purred softly as she pressed against his hand. His muscles started to protest, the longer that he pat her. Slowly, he pulled away and relaxed his aching muscles.
He turned his attention back to the conversation at the table.
Suddenly, Ellie jumped into his lap and purred. He ran his hand against her fur as she settled into his lap.
A sense of peace washed over him. He felt like that he was home.

Love Triangle
By: M14Mouse
Summary: Ellie and Den quite don't like to share Alphonse. He has no clue what to do.
Disclaimer: Don't own them
Love_bingo prompt: Love Triangle
Alphonse knew that cats and dogs can get along. He has seen it many times on his journey.
He had no idea why Den and Ellie couldn't get along at all. He asked Whiney about it. Just in case, he missed something. From she said, they got along fine before. It was just strange. He could be playing with one and the other one would instantly be there. Ellie would hiss and Dean would groan at each other. One time, Ellie was sitting on his lap and Dean gave her the evil eye. They would never physically hurt each other.
It does just look like that they are about to tear into each other.
That made him nervous more than anything.
He asked Granny about it.
"They are jealous."
He blinked.
"Of what?"
Granny just smiled at him.
"Of your affection. You spoil them really."
"I don't spoil them!"
Granny lowered her glasses and gave him a look.
"I remember someone sneaking Den a piece of their dinner."
"It was only a little piece and he looked hungry."
"And who lets Ellie sleep in their bed?"
"She is comfortable where she is?"
She tilted her head and gave him a knowing look.
"You give them affection equally but they want to yours. They don't like sharing."
"They have too."
She nodded her head.
"Yes, they do. You just have to get them too."
He frowned for a moment. How in the world was he supposed to do that?
-FMAFMA-
First place that he looked was the library in town. He spent the entire day reading what he could. They had plenty of books on training animals. There were not so much of them getting along. He did find a common element to each of them.
Treats.
When he got home, he grabbed Dean and Ellie's favorite treats and then took a seat on the outside step. Den came as soon as he heard the bag. He took a seat next to him and wagging his tail. He was eager for the treat. Few minutes later, Ellie came out with a small meow. Den groaned softly and Ellie started to hiss.
"No," He said to both of them.
"Come here, Ellie."
Slowly, Ellie approached him then took a seat at the end of the stair. Good…one step at a time. Although, they kept giving each other dirty looks.
He laid Den's treat on one side and Ellie's on another. Den grabbed his treat and Ellie grabbed hers. They rushed off to their respect corners in the grass and ate. He grinned for a moment before he pulled out another one. This time, it was on his lap. It almost made him giggle when they kept giving him and each other dirty looks. Finally, Ellie got onto his lap. He grabbed her gently and stroked her fur. She purred and hissed. It was if she confused on what to do. When Den moved close enough, he started to reach out and scratch behind his ear. Den relaxed against his touch. For a few moments, they were relaxed against him.
"See you guys can get along!"
Then he heard a door slam behind him.
"Hey, Al! You're back!" Whiney said behind him.
Ellie bolted from his lap and Den chased after her. He sighed to himself and turned to look at her.
"Sorry?" She said.
"IT is okay…"
At least, he knew now that it can be done.
But he is probably going to need some more treats...
