hey yall
yeah im just sitting here watch the best tv serises. thats right kiddies im watching band f brothers. why do i watch it because it pretty damn good. if you havent watched it yet you doing know what you are missig. just to bring yall up to date im in fort bragg and i just got out of the field. its was a long and boring four days.
day one: started brght and early for no reason. we didnt have to go to the company that we are supporting until 0900. but first call was 0530. so after we get to the company around 0845 we sat around for another hour. doig nothig at all just smoking and joking. (that what we do in the army.) we met our LT he is a really cool cat. well around 10 we load up on trucks and head towards the objective. we get the company's cp to sit around for a couple of minutes and to be told that we need to move another mile down the road. so the guys of first platoon, 2 panther 504 move out. it sucked. but hell its was a movement. about 20 minutes down the road we get to the place where were going t set up for week.
after about an hour of sitting around we get the order that we are going to move out and do our first mission. not realy cool but hell its what te army does. well we take the objective and do what we have to do. end of the day and everyone is doing great.
day two: another mission another day.
day three: no missions but details. i was picked to go out and do what had to be done. early morning wake up and we went out. me and this guy named Bigger went out. we went out to this cross road and make sure that no one drives on this road that round we going to be shot on. hella dangerous but it had to be done. around 0900 we set up a hooch to keep the sun off of our head. well around 1000 i get a call on the radio saying that "there is heavy thunder storms moving in." yeah well not 30 minutes after getting the call the first rain hits. and it hits hard for a good 20 minutes. me and bigger are stuck underneath this one man hooch trying to stay dry. it works until the wind hits and when it hits, its hits hard. it was ok but we werent dry anymore. but that alright we had a couple more storms to go through.
the next storm hit and its worst than the other one but its ok because we find a shitter to hang out in. we stay dry.
around 2100 seening no one and hearing nothing i decide to rack out. around 0120 i get woken up by BIgger and he says "its about to rain. wanna smoke?" not two seconds after i get my cigarette lit its rain harder than it did before. its was ok but then our trans come and gets us so we can go home.
well its was a fast drive home. in the dark.
its has gone over into day four.
day four: my FO wakes me up to say that i need to stop laying down in the mud ad i need to find a dry place to sleep. that was nice of him because he woke me up be offering me a smoke. around 1900 we get the good news we are goinog home early. we are going home in an hour.
that was that we get home and we are dry.
